Abingdon Open - 4th July 2010

FRANCESCA HEALY gets BEST GIRL at Abingdon! Well done to Francesca for a superb performance through the day with a Gold and three Silver medals.

Our swimmers performed very well at this meet with 33 new personal best times and sixteen medals. The field was quite large in many of the events making competition very tough and it is commendable that our swimmers represented themselves so well.

Gold medals went to Anna Stafford (100m I.M.), Francesca Healy (50m Fly), Jessica Slater (50m Breaststroke), Tommy Ruler (200m I.M. and 100m Backstroke), Silver to Francesca Healy (50m Back, Breast and Fly), Fabrice Hamerlinl (100m Backstroke), James Durham (200m I.M.), Matt Saunders (100m Backstroke) and Bronze medals for Harri Ravenscroft (100m Free), James Durham (100m Breaststroke), Matt Saunders (100m Fly), Tommy Ruler (100m Breast and I.M). Well done to all of you.

Well done to Katherine Lausch who took 11 seconds of her 100m Breaststroke, breaking 2 minutes, a 9 second improvement for Anna Stafford in winning the 100m I.M. and 6 seconds faster for Sarah McKillop in her 50m Breaststroke.

Thanks to Wendy and Dave for organising the team for this meet especially as they had no idea we wanted them to until they arrived!

Chiltern League 2010 Round 3 - 19th June 2010

A great finish to the Chiltern League season at Abingdon where we competed against Bletchley, Kidlington and Gosforth and Abingdon.

Despite a couple of last minute drop outs we put a good team together achieving 15 personal best times and coming third overall at the gala. A good number of first and second places too including the Seniors 4x50m Boys Freestyle relay team coming in 1/10 of a second slower than the too fast time for 6 well earned points at the end of the evening.

Well done to all of you for contributing to our team over the three rounds, we hope you had as much fun as we did.

Witney Sprints - 13th June 2010

As usual we had fantastic weather in Witney again this year for their sprint meet. Until it started raining of course.

Our team swam well at this meet, swimming all four strokes at 50m and also the 100m I.M. We achieved 9 Speeding Tickets and 6 top three trophies together with 16 new personal best times.

Well done to Francesca Healy who was too fast in all 5 events with 4 new PB's, 3 Speeding Tickets for Mary Anne Grego and a first place, two first and a second place for Tommy Ruler and 3rd place and a new PB for Fabrice Hammerlindl, 3 new PB's for Dan Hostetler, 2 for Harri Ravenscroft and Megan Lynch who also got 3rd place in 50m Backstroke and PB's for Rhys Walker, Jess Slater and Georgina Harvey.

Thanks to Grace Grego for marshalling the swimmers and to our parent supporters for cheering our swimmers on in all their races.
