Chiltern League Round 1 - 28th January 2012

This was the first of three rounds of the Chiltern League. We assembled at the Aquavale pool in Aylesbury with our new Club Tee Shirts looking very smart indeed.

Our swimmers performed incredibly well at this gala which you will see from the number of Too Fast (TF) times. These times count as new PBs but were actually too fast for the gala which has time limits. Not a problem as it shows how well you are all progressing through your swimming.

Huge thank you to Grace Grego for her hard work in confirming the team and organising the poolside helpers and swimmers on the night. Also thanks to Claire Donlon and Sandra Cox for time keeping, Marlene James and Claire Wotherspoon for standing as judges and to Mike Storr and Andrea Rees for organising the swimmers in what was a very well organised evening.

Maxwell Open - 21st & 22nd Jan 2012

This meet was the last chance to set a county time for the ONB Counties 2012. Six of our swimmers took the opportunity to take part.

Tommy Ruler, Finn Baily, Noah Dean, Alex Haveron-Jones, Lucy Wheeler and Mary-Anne Grego performed well with 12 PBs and improved county entry times as well as Mary-Anne breaking the 100m Breaststroke and 200m Breaststroke record for 12 and Under and Tommy Ruler improving his 14 and under 200m Backstroke record.

Well done to you all for performing so well at what was a very high standard of competition.

BBAT Meet - 8th January 2012

This was the meeting we organised with Aylesbury, Thame and Didcott to achieve county times. A disappointing 10 swimmers competed from our club but they swam well and achieved 18 personal best times with 14 County Consideration times and a new club record for MAry-Anne Grego.

Well done to our swimmers and especially to Claire Donlon for her help in ordganising the meet with our fellow clubs.

Thanks to Grace Grego for organising our swimmers on the day and to our swimmers for working hard in their events and representing our club so well.

Aylesbury Christmas Gala - 17th December 2011

After cancelling due to snow for the last two years we mananged to make the Aylesbury SC Christmas Gala this year and what a great time we had. The swimmers did us proud, supporting each other in each race, swimming fantastically well for the team, even when asked to swim an event that they sometimes felt nervous about.

The team always swim fast in galas with the extra incentive of points and having that support helping each of us to find that extra ounce of strength and determination to perform as well as we can. We achieved 19 new personal best times from 32 individual events and all swimmers put together great performances in our relay teams in a busy evening with some of our swimmers competing in the next age group to cover gaps in the team.

These galas take a good deal of organsing to ensure that they run so smothly. Thank you to Grace Grego for confirming the swimmers for the team and for ensuring that they were ready for their events. Thanks to Claire Donlon and Brian Bowker for time keeping for the team and to Claire Wotherspoon for standing as our Judge for the night.

Finally, thanks to all of our swimmers for all the hard training you have done all year and for conpeting so well, I am sure# that you will all build on this years success in 2012.
