This is our Club Championships where we compete against our friends in our swimming club. All swimmers must enter Club Champs and take part in these Champs as it is the easiest way to set or improve your personal best times so that we can enter more competitions and galas.
The entry form includes a 200m Freestyle event this year, please talk to your coach if you are unsure whether you should enter this event. Also there is a squadron relay at the end of the second week where our swimmers will be compete in a fun relay randomly selected for one of the 6 lanes as a fun end to the meet.
For Week 2 you MUST enter all your races before 14th May. Any extra entries will only be accepted on the night and only if there is room in an existing heat for your swimmer. Late entries creates disruption to the evening and cannot be made during the week.
This is a 50m and 100m event where our swimmers can compete in their best strokes as this meet has qualifying times making the standard high and meaning our swimmers will set very good times.
The meet is at Handy cross Sports Centre so our local meet. We have submitted our entries to Wycombe DSC and will find out soon whether our entries have been successful so watch this space.
This meet is held on a Sunday afternoon in Witney which is under an hours drive through the countryside the otherside of Oxford. Our swimmers will get the opportunity to swim in 50m events together with the 100m I.M. and times are restricted to exclude the fastest swimmers allowing our developing swimmers to achieve their entry and get first or new personal best times.
Thank you for your entries for this meeting, we have sent your entries through to Witney now and will hear soon about whether these are confirmed and will let you know as soon as we do.
We have usually attended this July meet at the Abingdon White Horse Tennis and Leisure Centre and usually do very well with several of our swimmers achieving best boy or girl over the years.
This meet gives our swimmers the opportunity to swim 50m and 100m events in all strokes together with 100m and 200m I.M. so you can look at your current PBs and entries for other competitions and choose the events which you want to further inpfove your personal best times in.
Please check the times against your name below and get your entries to Andy Ruler as soon as possible as we are submitting our entries as soon after 14th May as possible due to this being a first come first served meet.
Thank you to all of you who have entered this meet, we have a good number of swimmers again this year and the entries have been submitted. We were first to enter so our entries should be accepted but we will find out and confirm nearer the time.
The meet is at the Aquavale in Aylesbury, a great venue with lots of friendly clubs for our swimmers to get to know. The times are set as qualifying and no faster than so is ideal for the main body of our swimming club.
In the mean time remember to keep training hard and lets see if we can prepare well for this meet and finish the season with a great team performance.
